My mother always told me...

My mother always told me "marry a man who loves Jesus and he will never lack love for you". It's one of the truest things I've ever learned.

Because Jase has a personal relationship with God, he has a deeper understanding for what love really is. His love for me (and mine for him) is a small reflection of the unconditional, and never ending love our Savior has for us [John 3:16].

When Jase first told that me he loved me (a year after dating), it was because he knew it was a decision he was making. Because he had waited to commit to those words, I knew that his love for me was not a love that was merely based off of his feelings, but rather, a much thought out decision he made...and a direction we would be working towards together. 

Our love isn't perfect, because we're not perfect, and we're sinners [Romans 3:23]. But, our love is being perfected by the one who is perfect!

Happy birthday to me!

This year for my 21st birthday, my sweet man took me out for dinner. We went to the Melting Pot in OKC, which made for a very fun and yummy birthday experience! 

 

Of course, in preparation for this outing, I shopped endlessly for the perfect outfit. I ended up finding the prettiest romper (or "playsuit") from Peppermayo.

Peppermayo is an Australian store, I stumbled upon thanks to Instagram earlier last year. I'd been dying to order something from them, and I'm so glad I finally did because it really did turn out to be perfect!

Here's their 'Velocity Playsuit' which also comes in white or red, for $47.59 (US).

Peppermayo seriously has so many beautiful things, it was hard to decide on just one! I will definitely be ordering more from them soon!
